About Remove Metadata from Image
removemetadatafromimage.com is a free online EXIF stripper and AI metadata cleaner. It is for anyone who wants to post a photo without GPS, camera tags, embedded prompts, or C2PA Content Credentials riding along.
Why this exists
Phone photos often include the street you were standing on. AI PNGs from Stable Diffusion or ComfyUI often include the full prompt. Editors such as Photoshop Generative Fill can attach Content Credentials. Instagram and other apps may read those tags and show a Made with AI label — or a location you never typed into the caption.
Many “upload to our server” removers ask you to trust a stranger with the file. This site is the opposite: the page is public; the photo stays in the tab.
What we built
- A homepage cleaner that accepts bulk JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF
- A scan that says AI metadata found or No AI metadata found
- Mandatory deep clean: pixels are redrawn, then leftover boxes are stripped
- Download one file, all files, or a ZIP, with an optional cleaned_ prefix
- Guides so search engines and people can learn what C2PA and prompts actually are
What we will not do
We will not sell an “undetectable human” certificate. We will not claim the tool can fool every platform classifier. We will not require an account to strip a JPEG.
The name and the domain
